Mrs. Bob Leverett Passes April 17.
Mrs. Alzadie Sims Leverett, born September 18, 1898, in Chambers County, passed away on April 17, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chambers County Hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services were held at Rock Spring Baptist Church on Saturday morning, April 19, at 11:00 o'clock. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Robert Leverett, Birmingham, Rev. Tom Leverett, Fayetteville, GA, and Rev. Mike Ramage, New Orleans, LA, conducted the service.
Mrs. Leverett is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Huckaby, Mrs. Marjorie Ruth Fletcher, and Mrs. Dorothy Allen, all of LaFayette; five sons, Herman Leverett, Gadsden, Edgar Leverett, Nathan Leverett, and Curtis Leverett, all of LaFayette, and Joe Leverett of Snellville, GA; 29 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Misses Susie, Carrie and Med Sims of Anniston; four brothers, B.H., Pete, and Bill Sims, all of Anniston, and Houston Sims of Killeen, TX.
Grandsons Ed Allen, Jr., Kenneth Leverett, Bubba Irvin, Al Irvin, Wade Stephens, Ralph Preston, Steve Olaveson, Kenneth Smith and David Cole were pallbearers.
Johnson & Sanders Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
