LAFAYETTE, AL -- Mrs. Marjorie Ruth Roberts, 76, of LaFayette died Monday, December 23, 2002 at LaFayette Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 26 at First Baptist Church of LaFayette at 2 p.m. with Revs. Bill Hand and Charles Whitson officiating. Burial followed in Johnson Memorial Gardens in Valley.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by one daughter, Dixie (Dave) Hanson of Valley, AL; two sons, Bubba (Jeanetta) Irvin of Dothan, AL and Al Irvin of Momma's; one sister, Dot (Ed) Allen of LaFayette, AL; three brothers, Curtis (Nell) Leverett of LaFayette, AL, Nathan Leverett of Dadeville, AL and Joe (Libba) Leverett of Snellville, GA; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Born in Chambers County on July 20, 1926, she was retired from Allen's Flower Shop in LaFayette. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of LaFayette First Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to East Alabama Hospice.
Jeff Jones Funeral Home of LaFayette handled the arrangements.
