J. Randall Bacon, 60 died Nov. 24 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. A native of Long County, he lived most of his early years in Darien where he was a member of the First Methodist Church. He was the son of the late James M. and Idella Bacon. He was graduated from Georgia Southern College and did further study at the University of Arkansas and the University of Georgia. He taught school for many years in Monroe, Houston and Chatham Counties. Survivors: Kenneth Sanders, Faye Walenceus, Ronnie and Donnie Bacon and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Graveside Services: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the Greenwich Section Bonaventure Cemetery.
