Jeanie Driggers, age 62, died Monday, February 6, 2006, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems, Brunswick Campus.

Jeanie was born in Tattnall County but was raised in Darien. She was the Darien High School Class of 1961 valedictorian and was the cheerleading captain. She was also a great artist who enjoyed drawing and painting. She will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Oren Driggers of St. Simons Island; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Angie Driggers of St. Simons Island and Andy and Donna Driggers of Brunswick; a sister, Judy Dasher of Glennville; five grandchildren, Megan and Amanda Driggers and their mother, Suzy Driggers, of St. Simons Island, Melissa Key of St. Simons Island and Jennie and Alex Driggers of Brunswick.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend John Owens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army 1624 Reynolds Street, Brunswick, GA 31520.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
