Ronnie Duane Bacon, age 68, of Darien, died Monday, May 25, 2015. Ronnie was a native of Ludowici but had lived in McIntosh County for many years.
He was a hospital Corpsman in the US Navy having served in Vietnam and worked as a Registered Nurse in Glynn and the surrounding counties. Ronnie enjoyed tracing his ancestral roots and assisting others with their genealogy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Idella Bacon and three siblings, Faye Walenceus, Randall Bacon and Eugenia Driggers.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Kniphfer of Brooklet, GA; a twin brother, Donnie W. Bacon of Darien; two grandchildren, one niece and several nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
