Beth was born July 12, 1935 to Merle and Eva (Hutson) Sears in Alton, KS. She married Arden Conaway and they had 4 children, they later divorced. She married Harold Carlton in 1983, he passed away in 1985. She had lived in the Hastings area since 2003, coming from Red Cloud and Smith Center, KS.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Sears of Blue Hill, NE, Ardena Moser and husband Tracy of Great Bend, KS, and Necia Patterson and husband Joe of Campbell, NE and 1 son McKinley "Ray" Conaway and wife Teresa of Hastings, NE. 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. 1 sister, Melba Lyster of Beloit, KS and 2 brothers, Gael NMN Sears of Ravenna, NE and Alvey Keith Sears of Smith Center, KS, 1 nephew, Lanny Blair of Great Bend, KS., who lived with Beth for awhile, and numerous other nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, 4 sisters,Vada Rose Reed, Eva Joice Pearce, Enid Catherine (Blair) Hayes, Leeta Lou (Michael) Rudolph and 4 brothers, Merle Harvey Sears, Paul McKinley Sears, Glen Melvill Sears, Cleo Lawrence Sears.
Memorials may be given to the family.
Burial - Graveside took place Sep 6, 2010 in the Cedar Cemetery, Cedar, KS with Rev. A. Keith Sears, officiating.
