Rachel Alvilda was the fifth child of Elenius S. Boe and Hansina Khristina Weeding. Born Jan. 5, 1893 in Synnes Township, Stevens County, Minnesota.
Rachel grew up in Stevens County where she met and married Lars Edwin Robertson. They married Apr. 8, 1912 and lived in the area a couple years, then moving to North Dakota where they homesteaded and Lars owned a hardware store along with his brother-in-law. Eventually moving back to Minnesota. They lived in Brainerd for a while before they bought land east of town where they farmed.
Lars died in 1944 and Rachel continued to live on the farm. In 1946 she married Peter Johnson and they lived on her farm. Peter died in 1965.
Rachel raised two of her grandchildren. In her older years Rachel sold the farm to her son and moved to an apartment in Brainerd, where she lived with granddaughter, Susan.
