Mrs. Lula E. Wood, 85, 1403 Missouri Ave., died at 12:05 a.m. Friday (June 9th) at Jane Chinn Hospital, Webb City, where she had been a patient for three days.
Born June 11, 1886, in Greene County, Missouri, Mrs. Wood had lived in Joplin for the past 18 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest W. Wood; a son, Sherman E. Underwood of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline LaFollette, Gladstone, Mo.; three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mason Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Mac Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
