Pearlene Deckard died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 78. Mrs. Deckard
was born Dec.25, 1920 in Braggs.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Survivors are her children, Bill Deckard and wife, Sherry of Watonga, Roscoe Deckard and wife, Lynn, of Calvert Texas; Wilma Faye Riley and husband, Robert, of Tulsa,Virginia Knisley of Sapulpa and Bobby Deckard of Longview Texas; 37 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 1 gggranddaughter and two sisters, Alphie Parson of Haskell and Rita Crowe of Beggs.

She was preceded in death by two daughters. Betty Bruton on May 15, 1999 and Christine Deckard on July 26,1993.


Graveside services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, August 11, 1999, in the Beggs Cemetery with Capt. Jeff Daniel officiating.

Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.


-----After her divorce from Andy she took her Deckard name back .Pearl lived in Keifer most all her life she loved to collect dolls and make homemade quilts her favorite one being the Dutch girl and boy quilt. She raised pigeons and chickens and loved too read her Bible. She lived in
a 4 room house, with well water, an out house, and no indoor plumbing. She did her laundry on a rub board or wringer washing machine and then hung them over a fence to dry. She always wore dresses in the summer time she would tear off her sleeves too try and stay cool for she had no air conditioning, not many electrical appliances and she didn't drive. She loved religious music, going to church, and she was always singing gospel songs. She was a
housewife and attended Christian And Full Gospel Church, Church of God, and Salvation Army Church in Sapulpa. She passed away at Saint Francis Hospital at the age of 78 years from complications of Pneumonia due to heart problems. Wesley Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa took over the arrangements.
