Matilda Moyer was born in Keokuk County, Iowa, near Whatcheer, November 1, 1866, and passed away at Clarinda, Iowa, February 1, 1931. Age 64 years, 3 months.

She was the youngest of five children, two boys and three girls.

She was united with the United Brethern Church when about twelve years of age. In 1874 she came with her parents to Merrick County, Nebr. where she resided until 1894, when she went to Omaha where she worked for some time. From there she went to Glenwood, Iowa, where she cooked in the State Institution for several years. She then returned to Omaha and was cook in the Swedish Mission Hospital two years and then returned to Glenwood, Iowa where she resided until her death.

She leaves to mourn her departure, two brothers and two sisters, Alen Moyer of Omaha, Mary L. Edwards and John Moyer of Palmer and Amanda Bale of South Gate, California, and thirteen nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Comstock and Rev. Huitt at the Christian Church at Palmer, Nebr on Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 1931. Interment was made in the Rose Hill Cemetery by her late father.
