From a 1913 Nance County, Nebraska, newspaper clipping file, transcribed by Linda Berney:

Abraham Moyer was born in Clermont County, Ohio Jan. 14, 1826 and died Nov. 8, 1913, age 87 years, nine months and twenty-four days. He was married to Miss Jane Adams and to this union six children were born, four girls and two boys.

Mr. Moyer lived several years in Illinois, moving to Iowa in 1866 where he lived for eight years. In May 1874 he came to Nebraska where he has resided since.

Five of his children survive him: Alen Moyer and Mrs. Amanda Bale of Omaha, Miss Matilda Moyer of Glenwood, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Edwards and John Moyer of near Palmer. Fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also mourn his decease.
