Death came to Mrs. Mary Edwards early Saturday morning at her home in Palmer after a long illness. She had been very low for the past month or more, and bedfast for many months.

Mary Lee Moyer, daughter of Abraham and Jane Moyer was born November 26, 1852 at Princeton, Illinois and passed away March 2, 1940 at the age of 87 years, three months and five days. In the year of 1865 she came with her parents to Watcheer, Iowa.

She was married to James C. Edwards at Keokuk, Iowa. To this union were born 3 children: Charles H., Eva E., and Mina E. Her husband, Charles and Eva preceded her in death.

In 1891 they came to Nebraska and settled in Loup Valley, northeast of Palmer. In the year of 1926 she moved to Palmer where she resided until her death.

She leaves to mourn her death; daughter, Mina E. Clark of Palmer, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, John F. Moyer of Palmer, Nebraska, and several other relatives and a host of friends.

At the age of 13 she was converted in the United Brethern Church. After coming to Palmer she united with the Pentecostal church to which she remained a member until her death.
