Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at the Pentacostal church in Palmer for Mrs. Amanda Bale who died last Sunday afternoon from sugar diabetes. The services at 11 a.m. were conducted by Rev. L. E. Brown, assisted by his two daughters and Rev. E. W. White of Grand Island and James Grace of Ainsworth as singers, and Maude McCall of Grand Island as pianist. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

Amanda Moyer was born February 28, 1865 at Bureau County, Illinois and passed away in Palmer, Nebraska on the afternoon of July 22nd, 1934, being 69 years, 4 months and 24 days of age at the time of her death.

In 1874 she came to Nebraska with her folks, they settling on farm northeast of Central City, Nebraka. In 1881 she was united in marriage to Wm. Bale at her family home. To this union, four children were born, one son having proceeded her, having died in the service of the World War.

She became a member of the United Brethern church when a girl. She and her husband lived in the vicinity north of Central City for several years after which they moved to Parker Island on the Platte.

She leaves to mourn, one son, Noah Bale of Central city, two daughters, Irene and May in California, several grandchildren, one brother, John Moyer of Palmer and one sister, Mrs. Mary Edwards of Palmer, and many other relatives.
