MICHEAL NESTOR DIES AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 80
He had Lived in the Vicinity of O'Connor for the last Forty-Three Years
Micheal Nestor, 83 years old and a resident of this county for forty-three years, died at his home, six miles east and one mile south of O'Connor, at 6 o'clock this morning. He suffered a paralytic stroke last Tuesday, and this with old age was the cause of his death.
No funeral arrangements have been made.
The deceased was born March 14, 1837, in County Limrick, Ireland. He sailed for America when 10 years old. He was married to Miss Emma Davis in 1866 and came to Greeley county in 1877 from Dubuque, IA., settling east of O'Connor.
To Mr. and Mrs. Nestor fifteen children were born and all but two are living. Mrs Nestor is now quite feeble.
The children are Mrs. Lottie Smock, Los Angeles; Mrs. Myrtle Kimbel, Pocatello, Idaho; Lewis Nestor Rexburg, Idaho; Fred Nestor, Omaha; Lawrence, Edward, Mervin, Henry, John, Mary, Mrs. P.E. Nealon, Mrs. Ida Kinney, and Mrs. Ollie Kinney, all living here. Mrs. Effie Daniels of Omaha died last July. Another child died in infancy.
The deceased also leaves two sisters Mrs. Johanna Clark of Omaha and Mrs. Thomas Dunn of Greeley. Fifty-eight grandchildren survive him.
Mr. Nestor was one of Greeley county's earliest pioneers and was beloved und highly respected by all.
