Elizabeth Ray Barran Guzzo, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Friday.
Her parents, James Elias Barran and Classie Crow Barran of Athens preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Thomas Guzzo of Huntsville; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Melany Guzzo of Birmingham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa nd Jeff Knight of Ponte Verda Beach, Fla., and Lori and Bob Linner of Huntsville; four grandchildren; five siblings, Birdie Barran Battles, Winfred Barran, Ann Barran Sauers, Wendell Barran, and JoAnn Barran Davis.
Elizabeth, known by family and friends as Jane, was born in Moulton, Alabama in 1922 and graduated from Clements High School. After graduation in 1941, she was employed at the Anderson Bank and then at Henderson Bank in Huntsville. She married Anthony Guzzo in 1954 and moved from Huntsville to Newark, Del., and to Brigham City, Utah, before returning to Huntsville in 1966.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Spruill officiating. Graveside services will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens following the funeral services. Laughlin-Service Funeral Home is assisting the family.
