Margaret JoAnn Barran Davis, age 76, of Athens, AL, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, at the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. She was born June 6, 1938 in Limestone County, AL, to James E. Barran and Classie Crowe Barran.

She was an active member of the Tanner Class of 1957 and was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claudie Joe Davis; and three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Rex Davis and wife Lisa, Karen Davis, Gregg Davis and wife Wanda, and Justin Davis; grandchildren, Mallory and Savannah Davis; step-grandchildren, Heather Brown and Corey Weaver; step-great-grandchild, Caroline Brown; sister-in-law, Minnie Barran and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
