MRS. ETTA MAE DAUGHERTY OF LAPLATA DIES
Was In Kirksville Nursing Home; Had Been In Poor Health.
---Mrs. Etta Mae Daugherty, 75, LaPlata, died yesterday afternoon in a Kirksville nursing home. She had been in poor health for several years.
---Born May 5, 1883, in Adair county, she was the daughter of Jerome and Emily (Miller) Shumaker. She was married to James Elmer King who died in December, 125, and in later years was married to John Daugherty who died in 1940.
---She is survived by two brothers, Murl Shumaker, Kirksville, and Tom Shumaker, LaPlata; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Miller, Ainsworth, Ia., and Mrs. Edna Magers, Atlanta; and two stepsons, Leroy and Loren Daughterty, who live in Texas.
---Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the LaPlata Baptist church of which she was a member, conducted by the Rev. Leo Shumaker. Burial will be in the LaPlata cemetery. The Christie Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
