Marshall Woodrow Sandlin
Funeral for Marshall Woodrow Sandlin, 85, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Sandlin died Friday, June 21, 2002, at his home. He was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Decatur, to John Woodrow Sandlin and Bernice Smith Sandlin. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was retired from Mutual Savings Life Insurance Co. and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mr. Sandlin was the widower of Veta Jean Robinson Sandlin.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Robinson Sandlin and Mark Edward Sandlin, both of Decatur; one daughter, Marsha Sandlin Gunter of Birmingham; one brother, Eddie Sandlin of Decatur; and two grandsons.
Family and friends will be pallbearers.
