Mr. Champion
SHAWMUT - Mr H. C. Champion, 83, of Shawmut died Saturday at his residence following an illness of several weeks.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Johnson Brown-Service Chapel. Burial was in Shawmut Cemetery with the Rev. Jim McCullough officiating.
Mr. Champion is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie McDonald Champion; one daughter, Mrs. Dan Stiff of Birmingham; one brother, Eli Champion of Wetumpka; five sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Nunnelly and Mrs. Lala Tyson, both of Lanett; Mrs. Zana Worthy and Mrs. Carrell Smith, both of Shawmut; and Mrs. Valerie Franklin of West Point; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
