NELLYSFORD – William Rondue Truslow, 63, died at 9:40 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 24, 1967) at this home after a long illness.
He was born in Nelson County (May 23, 1898), a son of the late Jefferson and Alice Dameron Truslow.
He was a member of Wintergreen Christian Church and a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Highways at Bryant.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Puckett Truslow; four daughters, Mrs. Wilson (Alice) Carter and Mrs. William (Julia) Patrick, both of Faber, Mrs. Mary Small of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Tommy (Yvonne) Toms of Roanoke; two sons, Herbert Truslow of Charlottesville, and Martin S. Truslow of Waynesboro; one brother, Vernon Truslow of Faber, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wintergreen Christian Church by the Rev. H. Benjamin Bohren Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be B. C. Small, Gary Small, Irvine Carter, Ronnie King, Sherwood Martin, and Sheldon Marshall.


Note: William or Wilmont was the son of James Napoleon Truslow and Alice Frances Dameron of Nellysford, Nelson County. He was married to Malinda Mytle Pucket on December 28, 1921 in Nelson Co., Va. and had the following children, Alice Margaret, Julie Annie, Mary Rachel, James Herbert, Martin Samuel and Yvonne Matilda. His name as listed on his tombstone and in the social security system is William but family and other documents also list his name as Wilmont.
His father was also known as Jefferson Napoleon, James Napoleon
