Martin Samuel "Buddy" Truslow, 92, of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at his residence. Born in Nelson County on February 27, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Melinda (Puckett) Truslow.

Buddy was a United States Marine Veteran who proudly served his country. He retired from Wayn-Tex and was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of the Brethren. Buddy enjoyed attending flea markets and auction sales.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Truslow was preceded in death by a brother, James Herbert Truslow; and sisters, Mary Davis, Yvonne Toms, Alice Carter, and Annie Patrick.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife of 67 years, Gracie (Wood) Truslow, is a special "son", David Showers and his wife, Martha of Waynesboro; a sister-in-law, Polly Truslow; niece, Yvette Arey; and nephews, Gary Small and Wayne Carter.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 in Riverside Cemetery by Pastor Dwight Roetto.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Carpenter, Kenton Showers, Marty Showers, Scott Berg, Greg Tomlin, and Jeff Tomlin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Bryant and Woody Yowell.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
