A young man from McCracken Co, Kentucky, who at the time of his military induction listed his civil occupation as: Carpenter. During his time in the army, rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He fought and lost his life in a counter-offensive against the Japanese to recapture the island of Luzon in the Philippine's on May 20th, 1945.
He was a member of the 149th Infantry 38th Division, United States Army. He was awarded The Purple Heart.
