Services were held Wednesday, February 6, for Rose Marie Carlson Peterson of Steger. Mrs. Peterson died February 2, 2002, at St. James Medical Center in Chicago Heights.
She was born August 6, 1911, in Gibbon, Minn. She was retired as a baker for Bloom High School in Chicago Heights. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the church's women's circle. She was an avid bowler.
Mrs. Peterson is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Harry) Erickson of Crete and Lorraine (Dick) Cowger of Anderson, Ind.; four sons, Vern (Paula) Peterson of Flossmoor, Arden (Kay) Peterson and Keith Peterson, both of Steger, and Harlan (Jeanine) Peterson of Manteno; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Peterson of Minnesota; and a brother, Jewel Carlson of South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, in 1973.
The funeral was conducted at Smits Funeral Homes Steger Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Skyline Memorial Park. Monee.
