Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from First Baptist Church in New Ulm for Mr. Delphin Carlson. Burial was in Clear Lake Baptist Cemetery south of Gibbon.
Mr. Carlson died Friday, March 7th, at Union Hospital in New Ulm.
Delphin Carlson was born August 14, 1906, in Severance Township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Carlson. On Nov. 30, 1933, he married Alma Beahm at Portage, Wisconsin.
His wife survives along with three daughters, Mrs. Jean (June) Goodridge of Wahkon, Mrs. Steven (Joyce) Huffman of New Ulm, and Mrs. Darrel Schmidt of rural Gibbon; and one son Dwaine of Wahkon. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Philip Peterson of Stager, Ill., Mrs. Edgar Hoppenstad of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Vincent Peterson of Pierz; four brothers, Philip of Gibbon, Roger of Minneapolis, Burt of Lafayette, and Jewel of Hendricks.
Carlson farmed in the Gibbon area until 1966, when he moved to Lafayette, where he farmed and sold barn equipment. He was a member of the Farmer's Union.
