Grace Rapier Boarman, 73, of 3020 Kentucky 279 S., Owensboro, died Friday, May 19, 1989, at her home. She was born in Daviess County, was a housewife and a member of St. Mary of Magdalene Catholic Church, Sorgho. She was a member of the Army of Mary and Christian Mothers Altar Society. She shipped clothing for 45 years to Indian missions in North and South Dakotas, and was also a volunteer in nursing homes in Owensboro. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen Boarman. Survivors include her husband, Hugh Boarman; eight sons, James W. Boarman, Leon Boarman, Kenneth R. Boarman, Mike Boarman, John Boarman, Pat Boarman, Dennis Boarman and Terry Boarman, all of Owensboro; two daughters, Kathleen Boarman of San Francisco, Calif., and Mary Lou Whitt of Waco, Ky.; 32 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Catherine Boggess of Owensboro. Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice Association, P.O.
