COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 06/23/1956
Mrs. Dorothy Rapier Seng, former employee of the legal department at Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday [June 22, 1956] at her home, 1303 Audubon Parkway. Mrs. Seng, 43, was a native of Owensboro. She retired from active work at the Jeffersonville Army installation two years ago because of ill health. She is survived by her husband, Frederick J. Seng; three sisters, Miss Mary Ellen Rapier, Mrs. Catherine Boggess, and Mrs. Grace Boarman, all of Owensboro; and two brothers, Sylvester Rapier, Decatur, IL, and MSgt. William H. Rapier, Victorville, CA. The funeral will be at 8:30 a m. Monday at the Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison, and 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Rapier of Victorville, CA; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Monday morning at 8:30 from Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison, and at Cathedral of the Assumption at 9 o'clock. Interment Resthaven Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, Louisville; two brothers, William H. Rapier, Victorville, CA, S.L. Rapier, Decatur, IL; three sisters, Mrs. Hugh Boarman, Mrs. Catherine Boggess and Miss Mary Ellen Rapier, Owensboro. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. (CDT) Monday at the Cathedral, Louisville. The body is at the Bosse Funeral Home, Ellison Avenue, where it will remain until the time of the services. Burial will be in the Louisville Catholic cemetery.
