Srielda, also spelled in some records as "Serelda" married Vinson in Muscatine, Muscatine Co, IA on June 20, 1853. She was his 4th wife. She and her children moved with him many times including a trip in 1863 to Salt Lake City, Utah Territory via wagon so that Vinson could sell supplies to soldiers monitoring difficulties with early Mormon settlers. Their baby daughter, Polly, tragically died on this trip and is buried in the US military cemetery in Salt Lake.

Unfortunately, Vinson's "wanderlust" prevailed during the 1880's and Srielda was left alone to raise their children in the Carson/Oakland area of Pottawattamie County, IA. During the 1890's, Vinson lived with the family of one of his brothers, Miner Gaylord Perkins, in Grand Haven, Ottawa Co, MI. He died in Tallahassee, FL, 1898.
