Archie, born in Canada in 1894 moved to the US with his parents Robert and Alison Coon about 1898. They lived for a time in Ghent, Columbia Co., NY then moved to White Plains. He graduated from Brooklyn Polytech Institute with a degree in civil engineering. In 1918 he married Antoinette Doscher and lived in Scarsdale, NY. They had 2 children, Douglas born 1919 and a daughter born about 1922 (living in 2009). The marriage ended in divorce.
Archie worked for the New York Central Railroad as Assistant to the Vice President; from 1937 to 1945 he was Manager of Terminals and Warehouse Development with the US Maritime Commission. He married Louise Niebell Coon and retired in 1958 to Palm Beach County, FL. He died at age 66 in 1960.
