Henry was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada to Robert W. Coon Jr. and Alison Davidson Coon. He was a plumber in partnership with a man named Gordon. Anna I. Jensen was his fiancee and they were on an outing when his vehicle overturned, killing Henry in 1916. Anna never married although she lived until 1965. She is buried within a few yards of Henry in White Plains Rural Cemetery.
