Funeral service for Robert Leldon Johnson, 72, of Decatur, will be Thursday, August 5, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Scotty Hogan and the Rev. Chris Martin officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at his residence. He was born January 29, 1938, in Morgan County, to Robert Franklin Johnson and Cora Obie Bates Johnson. He was a member of the Baptist faith and retired from Littrell Lumber Company.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Beatrice Long Johnson; three sons, Sonny Johnson of Priceville, Ronald Johnson of Decatur and David Johnson of Trinity; two daughters, Patricia Anderson of Bowling Green, Ky., and Brenda Wilson of Henagar; two brothers, Jimmy Johnson of Texas and Fred Johnson of Trinity; two sisters, Elaine Holsomback of Hartselle and Shirley Braswell of Trinity; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Heath Waters, Allen Johnson, Austin Lowery, Chad Lowery and Alex Waters.
