Florence Rhoades Dies at 50
WINAMAC -- Florence Marion Rhoades, 50, Rt. 2., Royal Center, died Saturday at 8:15 a.m. at the Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born June 11, 1929, in Gary, to John and Hazel Bristow.
She was married Aug. 5, 1950, in Gary, to Ethmer Rhoades, who survives.
She was a member of the Baptist Christian Church of Royal Center.
Surviving with the husband are three daughters, Barbara Farmer, Warsaw; Judith and Darlene Rhoades, at home; one son, Dale Rhoades, Crown Point; six sisters, Mildred Anstey, Hebron; Ruth Daniels, Crown Point; Lillian Harvey, Gary; Carrie Savage, Hobart; Geraldine Holler, Griffith; and Gloria Yakim, Hobart; two brothers, Ralph Bristow, Hobart; and John Bristow, Sturgis, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Frain Mortuary with the Rev. John Drexler officiating. Burial will be at the McKinley Memorial Garden Cemetery, Winamac.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday.
