AGED RESIDENT OF COUNTY DIES.

One of the oldest residents of Blair County, Mrs. Ellen Zimmerman, died yesterday morning at 5 o'clock at the Blair County home of diseases incident to advanced age. According to records at the county home, the woman was born at Allegheny Furnace on May 22, 1833, but a granddaughter residing in Tyrone believes Mrs. Zimmerman was born on May 22, 1836, although she is not certain. If the county home records are correct, the woman would have been 100 years old. Mrs. Zimmerman, before her marriage to John Zimmerman, was Miss Ellen Eastright. Her husband was a veteran of the Civil War and has been dead for many years. Her nearest relatives are a grandson and a granddaughter, George Sprow and Mrs. Annie Cleary, both of Tyrone; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the First Methodist church of Tyrone. The body has been removed to the home of Mrs. Cleary, 1515 Blair Avenue, Tyrone, where it may be viewed. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cleary home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Elmer F. Ilgenfritz, pastor of the First Methodist church of Tyrone. Interment will be made in the Cedar Grove Cemetery at Petersburg.
