Joseph Armand Donat Regimbal was born in Crookston, Minnesota in 1893. He was 4 years old when his parents, Fabien Regimbal and Salome LaBerge packed up their family's belongings and moved West to the Yakima Valley.

In 1925, with brothers Aime and Xavier, he constructed a concrete building which over the years served Moxee as a grocery store - until a fire destroyed it in 1954.
