F Louis Regimbal was born near Ste-Justine-de-Newton, Qc on November 30, 1877 and baptised there on December first.
His parents were Fabien Regimbal (1853-1928) and Salome LaBerge (1857-1938) of St-Louis-de-Gonzague.
He was 5 years old when his parents moved with him and his 3 siblings to the United States to make a home in Gentilly, Minnesota. They lived in the State for 15 years, in which time the number of children in the family grew to 11.
In 1897, the Regimbals journeyed by train to the Yakima Valley and a new beginning in the northwest State of Washington.
Louis married Anna Perrault (1877-1954) whose family had migrated to Minnesota from Canada (Ste-Croix, Ontario) in 1876; and who also moved with them to Moxee.
He and Anna were blessed with 7 children, all born in Yakima county: Blanche Ester (1905-1946), J Laurent (1907-1989), Marie-Beatrice 1909, Marie-Mary 1911, Marie-Catherina 1912, Marie-Cecelia 1914, and Allen James (1919-1967).
In 1910, he was managing a grocery store in Yakima, owned in partnership with his father Fabien. It was called "F Regimbal and Son" and was located four doors east of the Lund Building on Yakima Avenue.
On June 5th, 1917, he and his 21 year old nephew, Avilla Hilaire Fortier, left the business to fight overseas in World War I. Without his son and grandson to run the store, Fabien sold it and retired to his former home in Moxee.
After the War, F. Louis Regimbal made his living as a general farmer in Moxee City.
