Born May 31, 1925, in Noble Township, Shelby County, she was the daughter of Edgar and Lena (Herndon) Hoban. She married Norman Hinkle on Sept. 9, 1945, and he survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Marvin "Rick" (wife, Susan) Hinkle of St. Paul and Norman M. "Mick" (wife, Cathy) Hinkle of Fishers; grandchildren, Chris Hinkle, Sam Hinkle, Sara Hinkle, Noah Hinkle and Isaac (wife, Amber) Hinkle; and great-grandchildren, Cameron Hinkle and Madison Hinkle.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Hinkle was a lifelong resident of this area.
She was a homemaker, seamstress and the pianist at Pleasant Hill Church in Noble Township for several years.
Mrs. Hinkle graduated from Waldron High School in 1943.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church, Noble Township.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St. in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
