MADISON, NC (Dillard Community) ~ Mrs. Mozelle S. Shelton, 75, of Brim Road, Madison, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at her residence.

Mrs. Shelton was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Stokes County, the daughter of the late Reid and Pearlie Ashby Shelton.

She was a farmer and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis W. Shelton, in 2000.

She is survived by her son, Curtis Junior Shelton, and his wife, Jeenie, of Madison; three sisters, Ruby L. Collins and Lucille Anders, both of Walnut Cove, and Louise Nunn of Madison; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Emily Shelton; and an aunt, Lillie Taylor, of Danbury.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, in the chapel of Ray Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Sands and the Rev. Billy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, June 14, at the funeral home and all other times at the home of Curtis and Jeenie Shelton, 1631 Brim Road, Madison.

Ray Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.
