Obituary, The Columbia Daily Tribune, June 2, 2010:

Delmarae Crum, 54, of Columbia passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Millard Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church, 1707 Smiley Lane, with the Rev. Ray Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Columbia, the daughter of George A. Crum Sr. and Barbara Johnson Crum.

She graduated from Hickman High School in 1973.

She was employed most recently with Integral Services. Previously, Delmarae worked for more than 20 years with State Farm Insurance Cos.

She enjoyed many activities, including bowling, softball, bingo and "going to the boat." Most precious to her was the time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Trivia Crum; one son, Jabbar Crum; her significant other of more than 35 years, Don Matthews; six grandchildren, Javante', Justice, Bria'nna, Elexus, Jae'dyn and Maeleah, all of Columbia; five sisters, Helen P. (Sherman) Derrick of Shreveport, La., Sherley A. Crum Hayes, Joyce M. Williams, Frances M. Bush and Dorothy E. Crum, all of Columbia; three brothers, William E. (Mary) Crum, Herbert W. (Eunice) Crum Sr., George A. Crum, Jr., all of Columbia; one aunt, Marjorie Johnson Vaughn of Columbia; 12 nieces and nephews; 36 great-nieces and great-nephews; 41 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and a host of loving cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. (Buck) Crum Sr. and Barbara O. Johnson Crum; both maternal and paternal grandparents; six aunts and four uncles; and two nieces and one nephew.
