Joyce Mae “Pretty Lady” Williams, 71, of Columbia, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
Joyce was born, February 15, 1947, in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of George A. Crum, Sr. and Barbara (Johnson) Crum.
She was united in marriage to John W. Williams in Columbia and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1986.
Joyce was a graduate of Hickman High School in 1965. She was employed by State Farm in the Auto Operations department for 36 years until her retirement in 2009.
Joyce enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, watching sports, old western movies, and Walker Texas Ranger.
She was a dedicated Pittsburg Steelers fan and followed all their games on tv.
Joyce was well known by many and will be remembered for her famous potato salad.
Joyce is survived by two daughters: Tammy Houston of Columbia and Tina Milo (Elvy) of Kansas City, MO; son in law: Zeno E. Sims of Greenville, IL; four sisters: Helen P. Derrick of Davenport, IA., Eunice Crum, Frances M. Bush, Dorothy E. Crum; one brother: William E. (Mary) Crum; all of Columbia; eleven grandchildren: Michael A. Williams (Tonya), Megan L. Williams, Tamara E. Jones (Sidney), Melesha M. Williams, Johnesha E. Houston, Evander D. Houston Kratz (Bobby), Bobby J. Dawson, Vochon Y. Milo, Sa-maj M. Milo, Saraiya D. Milo, Da-mari L. Milo; two step grandchildren: Tanisha N. Sexton and Chantelle N. Shepherd; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband: John W. Williams; daughter: Tracy R. Sims; her parents: George A. (Buck) Crum, Sr. and Barbara O. Johnson Crum; two sisters: Delmarae Crum and Sherley Hayes; two brothers: George “Doodle Bug” Crum, and Herbert W. Crum Sr.; both maternal and paternal grandparents; seven aunts; four uncles; two nieces; two nephews; sister: Shirley R. Crum; fathers in law: John W. Briscoe and Robert “Shake” Hoffman; mothers in law: Lue Margaret Hoffman and Delores Briscoe.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Parker-Millard Funeral Service & Crematory.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Second Baptist Church, 407 E. Broadway, Columbia.
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
