Caroline Dreher, 82, Plainville, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Plainville.

She was born Dec. 7, 1934, in La Crosse to Joe and Anna (Wasinger) Jacobs.

She married Edwin “Eddie” J. Dreher on Aug. 6, 1951.

She was homemaker who enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed babies, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Plainville.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Plainville; three sons and their families, Ed Dreher Jr. and wife, Evangeline, Plainville, and their two daughters, Shanna Vanalstine and husband, Rene, Arizona, and Nichole Berry and husband, Ty, Hays; Frank Dreher and wife, Katrina, Corpus Christi, and their two children, Nola Bridgens, Corpus Christi, and Jameson Dreher, Oklahoma City, Joe Dreher and wife, Melissa, and children Jordan and Dayton, all of Oberlin; a daughter, Carol Rozean and her family, Mandy Meyers and husband, Kory, and Travis Rozean and wife, Jill, all of Hays; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Dreher, Hays, and her family, Kyle Dreher, Kansas City, and Jamie Grooms and husband, Devin, Hays; three brothers, Joe Jacobs, Dodge City, and John and Robert Jacobs, both of Hays; three sisters, Delores Ice, Stockton, Janice Fetterolf, Hays, and Shirley Terry, Oklahoma; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard Dreher; a son-in-law, Doug Rozean; a grandchild, Jessica Dreher; three sisters, Mary Ann Martin, Betty Axelson, and Norma Jean Starforth; a step-sister, Gerry Fiddler; and two brothers, Jim and Tom Jacobs.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday, both at the church. A combined vigil and rosary will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart School, Plainville or donor’s choice. Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, is in charge of arrangements.
