Geraldine "Gerry" Fiedler, 83, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 11:05 a.m., Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family, at her home.

Gerry was born in Victoria, Kansas on June 18, 1931, a daughter of Lidwina (Wasinger) and Fidelis Adolph Leiker.

Gerry attended the Victoria and Ellinwood Elementary Schools and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Wichita, Kansas.

Gerry was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church McPherson, Kansas where she was a member of the St. Joseph's Altar Society.

Gerry was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked as an Operator for the Telephone Company, Chase, Kansas; Co-Owner of Tony's Carryout; Cook for St. Joseph's Catholic School; Cook and waitress for Miss Piggy's Restaurant; and Diet clerk and aide for Memorial Hospital, all of McPherson, Kansas.

Gerry was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post 24, McPherson, Kansas and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 Ladies Auxiliary.

Geraldine C. "Gerry" Leiker was united in marriage to Anthony C. Fiedler, Sr. on June 12, 1950 at Chase, Kansas. Tony died on September 30, 1976.

Gerry is survived by her children: Anthony "Tony" C. Fiedler, Jr. and his wife Peggy of McPherson, Kansas, Roger Fiedler and his wife Garnet of McPherson, Kansas, Gail Gill and her husband Tim of Stanley, New Mexico, Sheryl Ann Fiedler of McPherson, Kansas, Janet Stine and her husband Dan of Roscoe, Illinois, Ronald Fiedler and his wife Dee of McPherson, Kansas, Gregory Fiedler of McPherson, Kansas, Annette Fiedler of McPherson, Kansas, Duane Fiedler of Lyons, Kansas, and Randy Fiedler of McPherson, Kansas; her siblings: Delores Ice, of Stockton, Kansas, Betty Axelson, of Stockton, Kansas, Caroline Dreher and her husband Eddie, of Plainville, Kansas, Janice Fetterolf and her husband Richard, of Hays, Kansas, Shirley Terry, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Joe Jacobs, Jr., of Dodge City, Kansas, John Jacobs, of Hays, Kansas, and Robert Jacobs, of Hays, Kansas; her 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Kim Fiedler, her husband Tony, sister Teresa Padgett, and great-grandson, Cullen Gill.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. with the rosary starting at 4:15 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30th, 2015 with Fr. Hien Nguyen officiating.

The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.

Family request donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson; Prairie View of McPherson; the Arthritis Foundation, Kansas Chapter, Wichita; or Gentiva Hospice and they can be sent in care of the Glidden- Ediger Funeral Home, 222 West Euclid Street; McPherson, Kansas.
