Hays -- Anna P. Jacobs, 78, Hays, died Wednesday, Nov. 27,1991, at the Rush County Nursing Home, LaCrosse, where she had been a resident since Oct. 1.

Mrs. Jacobs was born July 29,1913 at Victoria. She was a homemaker and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays.

She was preceded in death by three daughters, Anna Margaret, Mary Ann Martin and Norma Jean Starforth; a son, Thomas D.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph P. of St. John's Nursing Home, Hays; six daughters, Gerry Fiedler of McPherson, Carol Dreher of Plainville, Betty Axelson and Delores Ice, both of Stockton, Janice Fetterolf of Hays and Shirley Terry of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sons, Joe P. Jr. of WaKeeney, John of Plainville and James and Robert, both of Hays; six sisters, Catherine Sander, Mary Stecklein and Lydia Burkhardt, all of Hays, Caroline Stecklein and Leona Loyer, both of Denver, and Laura Gonzales of Aurora, Colo.; 37 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, Hays, the Rev. Paulinos Karlin officiating. Burial will be at St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. A parish vigil will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Rest Home Corp. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 1 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
