OBITUARY:

Hazel C. (Burke) Fraccola, 89, died October 3, 2008 at her home. She was born June 30, 1919 in Milbridge the daughter of Henry F. and Eunice M. (Tracy) Burke. Hazel lived most of her life in Milbridge. She married Charles Fraccola 1942 from Cranston, RI and lived there several years returning to Milbridge 1979 after she retired. She had been an active member of the Milbridge Thursday Club and enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by two sisters, Marguerite Donnel of Franklin and Bessie Martin of Sullivan, three sisters-in-law Eva Felella and Etta Testa both of Cranston, RI and Marion Sue Burke of Machias, two special nieces, Judy Beals of Holden, and Fadelma Babcock from Florida and Milbridge. Several nieces and nephews and a special friend Hortense Hutchins of Milbridge. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Charles Fraccola, two brothers, Henry and Merrill (Jack) Burke and sisters, Leola Burke, Beatrice Turner, Zelma (Sonnie) Mitchell, Gertrude Whicher and Hilda Quinn. A graveside service will be held 1pm Friday October 10, 2008 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Milbridge, with Pastor Ambrose Rolfe, officiating.Gifts in her memory may be sent to Petit Manan Ambulance Service,P.O.
