Fern Warren Williams Dies; Rites Monday

Mrs. Fern Warren Williams, a former proof reader at The Register-News, died at 3:40 this morning at her home, 508 North street. She was 57 years, 11 months and 22 days of age.

Mrs. Williams was employed at The Register-news for several years and later resided and worked in St. Louis.

She had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Myers Chapel. The Rv. Andrew Caraker will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 3:00 pm Sunday.

Mrs. Williams was born July 6, 1900 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Frank C. and Eva (Talley) Bruce.

She was first married to Mott W. Warren who died September 13, 1946. She was later married to Wendell Williams, who preceded her in death August 31, 1954.

She was a member of the First Community Church.

She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Wave Warner of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Nina Dykes, Mrs. Edna Tate and Mrs. Opal Ward of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Mack Berry of Madison, Ill.
