Effie Mae Barrick, 84, of Carlisle died Friday, April 10, 2009, at her home.
Born March 23, 1925, in Mt. Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Edna Cornman King, and the widow of Dean A. Barrick, who died in December 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Sherriff of Carlisle; four sons, Gary Barrick of Junction City, Kan., Dennis Barrick of Mechanicsburg, George Barrick of Newville and Michael Barrick of Carlisle; one sister, Esther Penner of Carlisle, two brothers, George King of Newville and Charles King of Carlisle, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Roth Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Pastor Wayne Good officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, PO Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
