Melva Ellett Giles Lindsay died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at her home in Provo, Utah, and has returned home to her Heavenly Father.
She was born January 27, 1928 in Bicknell, Thurber, Wayne County, Utah to John Giles and Addie Bell Ellett Giles, the youngest of eight children.
Melva married the love of her life, Alpheus Ray Lindsay, January 2, 1946, for Time and All Eternity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Manti, Utah Temple.
Together they raised four children, Leah Lorraine Lindsay Long, Jeneen Lindsay (Ivan) Hallingar, Steven Ray (Maurine) Lindsay, and Gregory Giles (Peggy) Lindsay.
She was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Melva was preceded in death by her daughter Lorraine; her parents John Giles and Addie Bell Ellett; and all siblings.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview 7th Ward Chapel, 1120 North 850 West, Provo.
Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center Street and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the chapel.
Interment will be at Provo City Cemetery.
