Lorraine ("Lori") Lindsay Long
Our dear mother, daughter, sister, and friend returned to live with our Heavenly Father Friday, December 8, 2006, in Provo, Utah.
She was born in Salina, Utah, August 26, 1948, to Alpheus Ray Lindsay & Melva Giles Lindsay.
She married Kelly Long in September, 1968.
Later they divorced.
She attended elementary and junior high schools in Orem and Provo, graduating from Provo High School.
She also attended Trade Tech training in nursing.
During high school & college years she was a waitress for Sambos and JB's Big Boy.
She remained in contact with some of her customers.
Through her life she touched many people and made lifetime friendships!
Lorraine loved cooking and those who had the blessing of tasting her cooking nicknamed her "Betty Crocker".
She collected recipes from everyone she came in contact with.
She had bookshelves of cookbooks.
Some very rare.
When she worked at the Missionary Training Center, missionaries would send her cookbooks from all over the world.
If you knew her she had your recipe!
She always loveda goodsong and a movie and had a large collection, which greatly expanded when she worked at Good Time Video.
People joked saying she could have opened her own video store.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her four children: Rachelle (Brent) Moore, Lehi, Amy (Sean) Fallon, American Fork, Frank (Emily) Long, Orem and Andy (Jennifer) Long, Lehi and five grandchildren, Justin, Devin, Kiersten,Thomas and Austin.
Brothers: Greg (Peggy) Lindsay, Orem; Steven (Maureen) Lindsay, Aztec, New Mexico; Sister: Janeen Nuttall, Orem.
She is also survived by her parents Ray and Melva Lindsay, Provo.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Orchard 1st Ward Chapel, 670 East 800 North, Orem.
Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem.
Family and friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services at the church.
