COLVILLE, WASH.

Memorial for John Frederick Ashbaugh, 64, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Grace Evangelical Free Church in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ashbaugh, who was born in Colville, died Aug. 2.

He graduated from Colville High School in 1955.

He logged with his father for a time and also worked in local sawmills.

He married Jean Shriner in 1957 in Kettle Falls, Wash.

Mr. Ashbaugh moved to the Davenport, Wash., area in 1962, where he worked on the Simon Reinbold farm. He returned to Colville in 1966 and began his business, John Ashbaugh Excavating, in 1967. He operated the company until his death.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, two sons, two sisters, and one brother.
