The Jackson Times - May, 1970

Rev. Robert Cundiff, 69 of Chenowee, passed away at home at 7p.m., Wednesday, May 20 after a long illness. He was a farmer, minister of War Creek Missionary Baptisi Church, and retired L & N Railroad employee,. He is surrvived by his wife, Mrs. Nannie Overbee Cundiff; three sons, Decoursey, Paul and Jack Cundiff, all of Lexington; four daughters, Mrs. Bobby Jean Vires, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Mary King, Hazard; Mrs. Beulah Barber, Franklin, Ohio; and Mrs. Bonnie Dunaway, Trotwood, Ohio; two brothers, Virgil Cundiff, Beattyville; and James Cundiff, Hazard; three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Little of Elkatawa; Ernestine Coomer, Middletown, Ohio and Mrs. Lennie McIntosh, Cincinnati; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 23. 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bill Moore at the War Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the Watts Cemetery at Chenowee with Watts and Spencer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
