Cassie B. Mason is Katharine Brockman, the daughter of Walter and Ellen/Helen. A.B. Mason is Katherine's husband.

Cassie married A. B. Mason and became a resident of Sac City Iowa. Her husband died in 1892, and in 1903 she moved with her two daughters to Riverside, California.

It was 1879 when Walter Leake Brockman and Ellen moved from Benton Co., Iowa ,to Carroll, Iowa, and then later to Sac City, Iowa. Ellen died in 1890 and is buried in Sac City. After that Walter lived with his daughter Serepta for three years and then moved to California to be with his other daughter Cassie.

March 2, 1906, at 4:00 on Friday Cassie died. Walter knowing he was dying, asked that they wait a day or two so that they could take her (Cassie's) body back to Sac City for burial, so that they could bring his body back at the same time. Monday morning March 5, Walter died. Their bodies were then brought together to Sac City, Iowa and March 10, 1906 at 10:30 A.M. the double fineral took place at the Prebyterian Church.
