Mrs. Madge Vance Porter, 47, Benicia, Cal., resident and native of Salt Lake City, died Wednesday at 11:05 p.m. in a San Francisco hospital, Salt Lake relatives have been informed.
She was born May 20, 1903, a daughter of George W. and Amanda E. Hartley Vance, she married Dr. Joseph I. Porter in Salt Lake City 1920 and they moved to California.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Herdti, Ogden; her father, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Lily L. Hatch, Woods Cross, Davis County, and Mrs. Emily May Meakin, Salt Lake City, and two brothers, George L. Vance, Ogden, and Jesse L. R. Vance, Vallejo, Cal.; a stepmother, Mrs. Rose C. Vance, Salt Lake City, and two half sisters, Mrs. Grace M. Paul and Mrs. Rose A. Perry, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday in Benicia. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at 36 E. 7th South Monday evening and Tuesday.
